STRIVE Project Training Workshop – “Strengthening the Internationalisation of Vietnamese Emerging Universities” at Tuscia University, Italy (June 2025)

In the framework of the STRIVE Project, “Strengthening the Internationalisation of Vietnamese Emerging Universities”, from June 23-24, 2025, a delegation from Phu Xuan University participated in the STRIVE Project training workshop on the theme: “Discussion of Experiences in Organizing International Exchange Programmes for Faculty, Staff and Students”. The program was hosted at Tuscia University, Viterbo, Italy, with the direct and online participation of over 50 leaders and lecturers from STRIVE Project partner members, including: the coordinating institution, Tuscia University (Italy), the AlmaLaurea University Association (Italy), the University of Évora (Portugal), along with member universities from Vietnam: Hanoi University, the National Academy of Public Administration, Phu Xuan University, and Quang Ninh Industrial University.

The working session focused on Work Package 4, specifically on experiences implementing international exchange programs for faculty, staff, and students (KA1 activities within the Erasmus+ program). Key contents included context analysis, international cooperation strategies, implementation plans, and support activities for exchange mobility between Vietnamese and international universities. Concurrently, the member universities also discussed and agreed upon the structure, general objectives, specific objectives, and work packages for a KA2 capacity-building project in the field of sustainable tourism. This is also an intended output of the STRIVE Project.

After two days of organization with 11 presentation topics, the workshop successfully delivered training on KA1 and KA2 activities within the Erasmus+ program, as well as disseminated the next steps in establishing a Virtual International Centre to store and share project resources, and agreed upon the activities to be completed before the next training session tentatively scheduled for January 2026 at Hanoi University.
