Phu Xuan University achieves success with the STRIVE Project in Portugal
Phu Xuan University recently embarked on a business trip to Portugal in order to present the STRIVE project’s report – “Enhancing International Cooperation for Emerging Universities in Vietnam”. This significant project aims to modernize the international cooperation of Universities in Vietnam, fostering collaboration and networking between higher education institutions in both EU and Vietnam.
The workshop attracted 53 delegates (both offline and online formats), including 28 direct representatives including Principles, Vice Principles and Professors from four different universities in Vietnam: Phu Xuan University, Hanoi University, Quang Ninh Industrial University, and the National Academy of Public Administration. Alongside our partners from Europe’s universities: The University of Evora (Portugal) – the host of the workshop, Consorzio Interuniversitario AlmaLaurea (ALMALAUREA), and final is the University of Tuscia (Italy).

The first workshop at the University of Evora, Portugal
This workshop delved into the Erasmus+ Program, mainly focusing on KA1 and KA2 CBHE projects. Our representatives received comprehensive information about the participation criteria, EU funding for student and faculty exchanges and valuable international cooperation experiences from prestigious universities.
After two days of working, the workshop featured numerous reports and expert insights on ongoing projects in Europe, especially the student exchange program between the University of Evora (Portugal) and Hanoi University (Vietnam). Notably, two outstanding students from the English Department of Phu Xuan University will earn an opportunity to study Italian and will have one year of internship in Italy.

This workshop marked a significant collaboration between Phu Xuan University and The Porto Accounting and Business School of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. Both components all agreed to implement credit recognition and student exchange activities, opening opportunities for students and faculty to exchange knowledge and experiences.
The Polytechnic Institute of Porto is considered a potential destination for future student and faculty exchange projects. Phu Xuan University aims to contribute close cooperation to provide its students with high-quality international education experiences.

A platform to exchange and adopt valuable experiences
In addition to international collaboration, this workshop also provided Phu Xuan University an opportunity to exchange experiences with renowned EU universities and global institutions in connecting enterprises and alumni. These activities are crucial in enhancing the university’s status and image, attracting students, and providing conditions for their development post-graduation.
