On April 28, 2022, within the framework of the SEAMEO TVET international student exchange program, Phu Xuan University held a cooperation signing ceremony with UMG University from Indonesia.
The exchange program is an opportunity to enhance the English communication skills of Phu Xuan students with international friends, and through it, students have the chance to learn about and connect with the cultures of Vietnam and Indonesia, strengthening the friendly cooperation between the two universities, and laying the foundation for direct student and faculty exchanges expected to take place in the summer of 2022 and many future opportunities.
Phu Xuan University is one of nearly 400 universities in the Southeast Asian region participating in the SEAMEO TVET international student exchange network. This is an annual student exchange program coordinated by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Secretariat and the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Organization.
The program will run until the end of June 2022, for the first time on the SEAMEO TVET online platform.
- Batch 1: Phu Xuan University receives 33 students from Indonesia and sends 6 students from Phu Xuan to study at UMG in Indonesia.
- Batch 2: An in-person exchange is expected in July.
