Phu Xuan University has successfully implemented the project “Digi:Đổi for Women in Business”, an extension project of the Digi:Đổi Digital Transformation Consortium funded by the British Council. The project received funding from Liverpool John Moores University (UK), with the central objective of supporting women-led Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam to adopt digital transformation solutions. This activity aims to improve operational efficiency, expand market reach, and enhance economic resilience, while simultaneously emphasizing gender equality issues.

Implementation and Training Process
The project team launched key activities in early 2024.
-
Survey and Program Design: The project conducted an in-depth Training Needs Assessment and carried out field surveys in February 2024 across various regions nationwide, including the North, Central, South, Central Highlands, and Mekong Delta. The survey results helped experts identify the specific needs of women-led SMEs to design appropriate training and mentoring programs.
-
Organizing Training and Group Mentoring: Based on the data from the initial survey, the project organized training workshops and group mentoring programs before mid-March 2024 in five regions. The training sessions focused on introducing essential digital transformation tools and solutions, helping SMEs apply these methods to their actual business operations. The activities emphasized practical application and the direct relevance of the training content to the participants’ business needs.
Concurrently, the project promoted the establishment of a digital hub and organized networking workshops, linking technology companies and universities with SMEs.

Achieved Results
The project has fulfilled its objectives of enhancing the digital capabilities and business skills of the participants. Women leading SMEs applied the acquired knowledge to their business operations, helping to improve efficiency and expand their partner network. Participants highly valued the practical activities and the relevance of the content to their business needs. Notably, the program created a robust business networking community, promoting sustainable development for women-owned SMEs.
