Phu Xuan University Implements International Cooperation Projects: Achieved Results and Community Impact

As the coordinating and implementing unit, Phu Xuan University (PXU), through the Institute of Partnership Development (IPD), has completed two important projects aimed at strengthening digital capacity and supporting specific community groups.

1. Digi:Đổi Digital Capacity Building Cooperation Ecosystem and Digi Business Project PXU is a key partner in implementing the Digi:Đổi project, funded by the British Council with a total budget of £89,958.12. This project was carried out with the aim of building digital transformation capacity in higher education, spanning from December 2022 to March 2025. The main activities and results of the Digi:Đổi project include the successful establishment of a cooperation network with 172 domestic and international organizations. In terms of training, the project organized 10 programs across 5 provinces for over 230 participants, including leaders, lecturers, and staff from universities and colleges throughout Vietnam. Ultimately, the project attracted a total of 337 digital transformation-related topics and projects from 525 staff members and lecturers, as well as 3,391 students.

Alongside this, the Digi:Đổi for Women in Business (Digi Business) project focused on enhancing digital transformation capacity in e-commerce for women in mountainous areas of Vietnam. As an extension of the Digi:Đổi Project operated by PXU, it concentrated on supporting women-owned Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in these regions. The project has generated significant positive impacts, with 52.3% of students reporting that the knowledge gained helped improve their business operations and 63.95% of participants stating that they successfully expanded their business networks after joining the project.

2. Project: “Pilot Model to Support People with Disabilities in Applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Digital Marketing” The project “Pilot Model to Support People with Disabilities in Applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Digital Marketing” (AI PwD) is an independent initiative implemented by PXU. It focuses on supporting people with disabilities (PwDs) in utilizing AI for digital marketing to create new business and employment opportunities. The AI PwD project gathered essential data regarding needs and practical applicability, showing high levels of efficiency. Following the training course, 78.2% of visually impaired students and 64.3% of hearing or mobility-impaired students reported that they could apply the knowledge with ease.

In terms of economic impact, 17.6% of respondents indicated that their sales and customer base increased after applying the newly acquired skills. A notable example is a personal project named AngoVlog, which successfully reached 821 followers. Through these projects, PXU has successfully carried out the transfer of digital knowledge and technology, creating favorable conditions for numerous organizations and individuals to access modern tools for their development.
