On January 5–6, 2026, the Phu Xuan University delegation was present in Hanoi to attend the International Workshop and Training Program on “Sharing experiences in implementing Erasmus+ KA1 projects”. This is an important event within the framework of the STRIVE project (Strengthening Internationalization of Vietnamese Emerging Universities) funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Fund.

The workshop was held at Hanoi University (HANU) – the project coordinator in Vietnam, bringing together leading education experts from Europe and Vietnam. Participants included representatives from AlmaLaurea (Italy), University of Évora (Portugal), University of Tuscia (Italy), along with Vietnamese project members such as: Phu Xuan University, the National Academy of Public Administration, and Quang Ninh University of Industry.

On the first working day, delegates focused on discussing and sharing practical experiences regarding the implementation of the Erasmus+ KA1 project – a mobility project for lecturers and students.

Representatives of Phu Xuan University and partners listened to inspiring stories from students and lecturers who directly participated in exchanges in Europe. From initial confusion about language or cultural barriers, the students quickly adapted, matured, and became true “cultural ambassadors”. This is the clearest evidence of the effectiveness brought by the STRIVE project, opening up valuable learning and experiential opportunities for Vietnamese students.

One of the key focuses of the workshop was the discussion session on the sustainability of the project after its conclusion. Here, international experts such as Mr. Enrico Dongiovanni (AlmaLaurea) and Prof. Jaime Serra (University of Évora) introduced strategic solutions:
-
The “Internationalization Virtual Center” model.
-
“Data Monitoring Tools”.
These are important tools helping member universities, including Phu Xuan University, transform international cooperation management methods from manual to a data-driven model. This ensures that even when the project ends, international connection and cooperation mechanisms continue to operate effectively and sustainably.

Also within the framework of the event, the 4th meeting of the Project Steering Committee took place to agree on the development roadmap for the final stage.
Active participation in STRIVE project activities demonstrates Phu Xuan University’s strong commitment to its education internationalization strategy. Through the workshop, the University not only accumulates more modern university governance experience from European partners but also expands its network, creating a solid premise to enhance training quality and Phu Xuan’s position in the regional and international higher education system.
