
On 25–26 September 2025, the 8th East Asia Skills Network (EAS TVET) Conference took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, under the theme “Strengthening Collaboration Between Industry and Academia to Enhance Competitiveness in Vocational Education.” The conference brought together nearly 60 representatives from training institutions, research organizations, and enterprises across nine East Asian and ASEAN countries to share experiences and initiatives that promote vocational education aligned with labor market needs.
Phu Xuan University was represented by two delegates: Dr. Ho Thi Hanh Tien, Director of the Institute for Partnership Development and Vice Chair of the University Council, and Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thuy, Head of Project Management, Institute for Partnership Development.

The conference program was designed to be diverse, covering both practical reports from individual countries and in-depth discussion sessions. The two representatives from Phu Xuan University delivered presentations at the conference on the topics: “Report on Collaboration Between Institution and Industry”, which focused on analyzing the supportive relationship between training institutions and businesses, while proposing effective engagement models to develop high-quality human resources; and “Policies & Strategies to Improve Graduate Employment Outcomes in Vietnam”, which examined policies and solutions to help students improve their access to the labor market.

With the participation of leading experts from multiple countries, the conference was highly multilateral and open, providing opportunities for participants to compare, learn from one another, and promote international collaboration in the field of vocational education.
